Biography
Patricio lives to the north of Guayaquil with his parents and six siblings: Andrea 17, Daniel 13, Ruth 8, Elias 6, Isaac 3 and Ezequiel 1 year old. Patricio works six hours a day from Monday to Sunday, either as a juggler or cleaning car windshields. His father does keep an eye on him, however, as he’s wheelchair bound due to a traffic accident, it is not easy. Especially as the father supplements the family’s meagre income by having to beg. Patricio is a very sociable and expressive boy. He has a lot of friends and participates very well in group activities. Patricio also has a very good relationship with his teacher. With the sponsoring of Patricio it is hoped that he will be able to leave the dangerous street life he currently leads and return to school in order to complete his educational development within the school structure. As long as he remains in the programme, his family will be provided with a monthly allowance equal to what he was earning on the street as compensation and to support his medical and school fees.

The ´Love a Child´ Foundation
The ´Love a Child´ Foundation is a non-profit making organisation helping to provide boarding facilities and schooling for poor and needy children, most are orphans or semi-orphans. They receive a full education and accommodation in an environment which preserves their cultural heritage. The Charity has a board of trustees and publishes an annual report and accounts in the spring of each year.
