My name is Ko Ko and I am thirteen years old. I have a twin brother and an elder sister. The Nargis Cyclone destroyed my family’s home and we lost all our possessions. We had no food or water and we were living on the street. My parents are farmers and they had to start again on the land. The monks from Phaung Daw Oo rescued us and I, along with my twin brother, now live at the school and we are very happy. I am in Class three and I enjoy reading and drawing. I miss my family and one day would like to return to help support them.

The Love a Child Foundation is a non-profit making organisation helping to provide boarding facilities and schooling for poor and needy children, most are orphans or semi-orphans. They receive a full education and accommodation in an environment which preserves their cultural heritage. The Charity has a board of trustees and publishes an annual report and accounts in the spring of each year.
