Maryuri is 20 years old. She suffered from malnutrition and physical abuse from her biological family who abandoned her. Her father was an alcoholic and her mother was mentally unstable and she was not interested in her daughter. They were living in extreme poverty. At this moment she is living with a foster family Moncayo Laguatasi who look after her and go with her when she needs medical treatment because she suffers from chronic renal failure. The left kidney was removed but the right kidney does not work properly and she needs dialysis three times a week. She is studying in the 5th grade in primary school.

The Love a Child Foundation is a non-profit makeing organisation helping to provide boarding facilities and schooling for poor and needy children, most are orphans or semi-orphans. They receive a full education and accommodation in an environment which preserves their cultural heritage. The Charity has a board of trustees and publishes an annual report and accounts in the spring of each year.
