Biography

Hello my name is  Nar Lar and l am a Lar Hu from North East Burma.   I am one of five children.   I have an elder brother and two younger sisters and a brother.     My parents are poor farm labourers who work in the fields growing rice.   We are a very poor family and my parents find it very hard to feed all the family so they sent me to Phaung Daw Oo monastic home and school as my elder brother has to work in the fields and could not be sent to school.  I live at school as it is a long way from my home.   I go to school in the first shift with the other 3,500 children in the morning, then l do my home work in the afternnon before l play with my friends.  Ma Nar Lar’s teacher says she is a bright child and likes to read and draw.  She wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
