Biography
Johana lives to the north of Guayaquil with her mother and three siblings: Efren 15, Eduardo 13 and Ronaldo 10. All of them work 10 hours a day, seven days a week, either as jugglers or cleaning car windshields all without the supervision of an adult. Johana is a girl who displays little confidence, is quite fearful; it is believed from physical abuse from adults. She is constantly aggressive with her street friends/workers. With education, she has been able to achieve a degree of stability by carrying out routine visits. Johana seeks attention. She is an orphan since 9 months and this is when she began working in the street, having to leave her proper education in order to help support the grave economic situation of her family. With the sponsoring of Johana it is hoped that she will leave this dangerous street life she currently leads and return to school in order to complete her educational development within the school structure. As long as she remains in the programme, her family will be provided with a monthly allowance equal to what she was earning on the street as compensation and to support her medical and school fees.

The īLove a Childī Foundation
The īLove a Childī Foundation is a non-profit making organisation helping to provide boarding facilities and schooling for poor and needy children, most are orphans or semi-orphans. They receive a full education and accommodation in an environment which preserves their cultural heritage. The Charity has a board of trustees and publishes an annual report and accounts in the spring of each year.
