Biography

 Iris has been orphaned for 8 years and suffers with cerebral palsy.   The carer of the orphans, Mariana Castillo, has been responsible for her but due to the state of health and age of Iris she can no longer continue to look after her.  At the moment she is under the care of  a carer.  Now her health is stable and she is able to feed herself and responding to the people caring for her. She needs personal attention, physiotherapy, speech therapy, neurology, and constant care from a doctor. She is attending  Fe y Luz therapy centre.

The ´Love a Child´ Foundation
The ´Love a Child´ Foundation is a non-profit making organisation helping to provide boarding facilities and schooling for poor and needy children, most are orphans or semi-orphans. They receive a full education and accommodation in an environment which preserves their cultural heritage. The Charity has a board of trustees and publishes an annual report and accounts in the spring of each year.
