Gyague Sonam did not live at the Bon Children’s Home and was not educated at the Tibetan School in Dolanji. However he was a very bright student at his school CST Mussorie where he passed all his exams. He was offered a place at St Joseph College of Science and Arts in Bangalore, however due to the poverty of his family he decided to help his father selling small products at the roadside. He was lucky whilst selling these small products to come into contact with Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche the lama in charge of BCH, Dolanji. When he told Lama Nyima his story, lama agreed to try to support him at University. Gyague was sponsored last year and is working very hard at his Bachelor of Computer Science degree at St Joseph’s college but unfortunately his sponsor can no longer afford to support him so we are urgently looking for a new sponsor(s). Gyague’s university fees are € 600.00 per year. He also has to pay a small amount for accommodation and food. If you could help Gyague wholly or in part with his struggle to continue his education it would be hugely appreciated.
