This is Dawa Dhundul he is from Kathmandu where he was born in 2002. His parents were refugees from Tibet and now live in Kathmandu, but it is very hard for them as they have Bon religion and Nepalese people don’t want them in their country, but they cannot go home. Dawa says ‘My parents live in very poor conditions and sent me to BCH so that l could have an education, which was not possible in Kathmandu as there are no schools for Bon tradition. I am an only child, but now l have friends at BCH and an trying hard at my studies. When not at school l like to play football with my new friends.’

The Love a Child Foundation is a non-profit making organisation helping to provide boarding facilities and schooling for poor and needy children, most are orphans or semi-orphans. They receive a full education and accommodation in an environment which preserves their cultural heritage. The Charity has a board of trustees and publishes an annual report and accounts in the spring of each year.
