Biography
Carlos Javier is 9 years old and suffers from third grade malnutrition. He has heart problems, bronchopneumonia and lesions in his extremities as a result of his severe malnutrition. He has suffered physical abuse from his own mother whose mental age is far inferior to her actual age. He comes from a family who are deeply dysfunctional, intensely poor and where there is evidence of promiscuity and overcrowding. Carlos Javier has two brothers of 4 and 3. They all live in a family house, that is to say a house with one mother, and with other children in the same sad situation. Their mother doesn’t want to know about them. Carlos has just completed level two of basic education/schooling.

The ´Love a Child´ Foundation
The ´Love a Child´ Foundation is a non-profit making organisation helping to provide boarding facilities and schooling for poor and needy children, most are orphans or semi-orphans. They receive a full education and accommodation in an environment which preserves their cultural heritage. The Charity has a board of trustees and publishes an annual report and accounts in the spring of each year.
